I like the idea of emoticons. Hey! Look it's a great way to explain how you are feeling in response to something when your face is not there in person to do it for itself. Unfortunately, not everyone *cough* Emm *cough* knows how to properly use emoticons.

ACCEPTABLE USAGE:
Emm <(655-555-5555)>: Hey Momo! What's up?
Momo <(656-555-5555)>: Hey Emm. I'm writing a new blog post! :)

NOT ACCEPTABLE:
Momo <(656-555-5555)>: Hey Emm! I'm writing a new blog post!
Emm <(655-555-5555)>: :)
